Job summary

S&P Global, Inc. in Hyderabad invites a Lead Software Developer to architect, design, and deliver software across enterprise platforms. You will drive analysis, implement scalable solutions, and mentor peers while aligning with agile practices to ship high-impact product enhancements.

You will work on modernizing and migrating platforms, collaborating with stakeholders to balance cost and performance, and contribute to high revenue product lines with best engineering practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent
• 5+ years of hands-on development experience in Angular/React, .Net, and SQL Server/T‑SQL technologies
• Strong OOP skills and mentoring experience
• Experience implementing Web Services (WCF, RESTful JSON, SOAP, TCP) and unit tests
• Understanding of database performance tuning in SQL Server and ability to manage multiple priorities

The Role: Lead Software Developer

The Team: We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled software engineer to join an agile scrum team developing technology solutions for S&P Global Market Intelligence. The team is responsible for modernizing and migrating the internal and product platform using the latest technologies.

What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of strong hands‑on development experience in Angular/React, .Net, and SQL Server/T‑SQL technologies.
• Strong OOP skills.
• Knowledge of fundamentals in the financial industry.
• Mentoring experience.
• Advanced SQL programming skills.
• Understanding of database performance tuning in SQL Server.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently within specific timeframes.
• Experience in conducting application design and code reviews.
• Experience implementing Web Services (WCF, RESTful JSON, SOAP, TCP), Windows Services, and unit tests.
• Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity and/or enthusiasm with data science/machine learning is a plus.
• Experience working in cloud computing environments such as AWS or Azure.
• Experience with Cassandra, DynamoDB, or Postgres and Redshift.
• Experience with large‑scale messaging systems such as RabbitMQ.
