Job summary

Delta Air Lines’ Delta Technology Hub in Bengaluru seeks a Lead Developer to design, build, and scale enterprise SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, and cloud AI solutions. You will guide architecture, mentor teams, and deliver secure, scalable platforms across Azure and AWS.

This role emphasizes governance, security, and responsible AI, with a focus on automation, AI-enabled copilots, intelligent search, and enterprise integrations.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in SharePoint development and enterprise architecture.
  • Strong expertise in SharePoint Online, SPFx, React, TypeScript, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Graph APIs.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services including App Services, Functions, Logic Apps, AD, Key Vault, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Azure API Management.
  • Experience with cloud-native apps, APIs, microservices, and serverless architecture.
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities into Microsoft 365 and Azure workloads.
  • Knowledge of Responsible AI, security, governance, and compliance best practices.

As a SharePoint Lead Developer, you will help advance Delta Air Lines’ cloud-first transformation by delivering secure, scalable solutions across Azure, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365, AWS for mission-critical airline operations.

We are seeking a forward-looking Lead Developer to design, build, and scale next-generation applications leveraging cloud-native architectures, AI/ML capabilities, and modern engineering practices

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and deliver secure, scalable SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365, Azure Cloud, and AI-enabled enterprise solutions
  • Design and implement cloud-native and AI-powered applications that improve employee productivity and business operations
  • Lead the development of enterprise Copilots, intelligent search solutions, and Generative AI-enabled business applications
  • Integrate Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, and AI Services into enterprise workflows and collaboration platforms
  • Drive cloud modernization and AI transformation initiatives aligned with organizational and business objectives
  • Establish governance, security, compliance, and Responsible AI frameworks for enterprise solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship across SharePoint, Azure, Cloud Architecture, and AI technologies

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in SharePoint development, Microsoft 365 solutions, and enterprise application architecture
  • Experience leveraging Kiro AI IDE and agentic development practices to accelerate software development, automate documentation, generate specifications, and improve code quality through AI-assisted engineering workflows.
  • Strong expertise in SharePoint Online, SPFx, React, TypeScript, Power Apps, Power Automate, and Microsoft Graph APIs
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services including App Services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure AD, Key Vault, Service Bus, Event Grid, and Azure API Management
  • Strong Azure application development experience, including cloud-native applications, APIs, microservices, and serverless architecture
  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise integrations across Microsoft 365, Azure, and third-party platforms
  • Experience designing and implementing AI-powered enterprise solutions using Microsoft Copilot, Azure OpenAI Service, and Azure AI Services.
  • Knowledge of Generative AI architectures including Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Semantic Search, and AI Agents.
  • Experience integrating AI capabilities into SharePoint, Microsoft 365, Azure applications, and business workflows.
  • Familiarity with Azure AI Foundry, Azure AI Search, Copilot Studio, AI Builder, and enterprise AI governance frameworks.
  • Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools to create technical designs, implementation plans, reusable components, and automated testing strategies.
  • Understanding of Responsible AI, AI governance, security, compliance, and enterprise adoption best practices.
  • Proven experience in cloud architecture, application modernization, and digital transformation initiatives
  • Expertise in CI/CD implementation using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions
  • Strong understanding of enterprise security, governance, compliance, and Zero Trust architecture principles.
  • Familiarity with AWS AL/ML services such as Amazon SageMaker, Bedrock and AgentCore
  • Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude, Kiro) to accomplish tasks such as generating and reviewing code, writing and maintaining tests, creating documentation, and debugging, with the judgment to validate and own AI-generated output

  • Experience leveraging AI agents to improve developer productivity, reduce technical debt, and accelerate cloud modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP) for connecting AI models to external tools and data sources
