Job summary

Tata AutoComp is seeking an experienced embedded firmware engineer to design, develop, and maintain BMS firmware. You will work on Embedded C on MCU platforms, RTOS, bootloaders, and OTA updates, optimizing for performance and reliability.

Collaborating with hardware, validation, and systems teams, you will drive code quality, reviews, and junior guidance across the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of relevant embedded firmware experience.
• Mandatory experience in Battery Management Systems (BMS).
• Strong expertise in Embedded C on microcontrollers.
• Experience with RTOS, bootloaders and OTA updates.
• Knowledge of CAN, UART, SPI and I2C interfaces.

• Develop and integrate device drivers and communication protocols such as CAN, UART, SPI, and I2C.
• Debug, test, and troubleshoot firmware issues throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with hardware, validation, and system engineering teams for product development.
• Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and best practices.
• Lead firmware development activities and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
