Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Security Engineer in Bengaluru to shape AI-driven security initiatives. You will design, implement, and validate tamper-proof security solutions for enterprise systems, guiding teams across the SDLC and leveraging Copilot and AI tools to ensure secure software delivery.

The role emphasizes threat modeling, guardrails, audit controls, and collaboration with internal clients to align security with business objectives and resiliency goals.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in security engineering with 5+ years of experience.
• Minimum 10 years of enterprise-scale security engineering experience.
• Proficient in C# on .NET 6+ and SQL Server/T-SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience using enterprise AI capabilities within security workflows.
• Ability to review AI-assisted code and ensure security and auditability.
• Familiarity with SDLC tools: Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD and security.
• Knowledge of information and network security, IT risk management, and architecture patterns.
• Advanced knowledge of tools like Visual Studio and Sonar.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Copilot in engineering workflows.

As a Lead Security Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Security Engineering team, you deliver enterprise-scale solutions that prevent misuse and malicious behavior. You apply your skills to create tamper-proof, audit-defensible methods across multiple technical areas. You leverage advanced tools and AI-assisted development to drive secure software delivery.

Job Responsibilities

• Execute security solutions design, development, and technical troubleshooting to satisfy security requirements for internal clients
• Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• Apply specialized tools to analyze and correlate incident data, identifying and summarizing the probability and impact of threats
• Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture
• Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring design constraints are met
• Leverage Microsoft Copilot to accelerate secure software delivery, including refactoring, test generation, and code review support
• Support delivery of agentic AI solutions, including threat modeling, guardrails, and audit controls
• Applies reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within SDLC/toolchain routines to strengthen security testing and control validation, ensuring traceability/auditability and alignment to resiliency and security expectations.
• Uses enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate threat modeling, vulnerability analysis synthesis, and security documentation, validating outputs and ensuring sensitive data is handled appropriately.
• Lead continuity-related awareness, training, educational activities, and exercises

Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills

• Formal training or certification on security engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Minimum 10 years of experience developing security engineering solutions for enterprise scale
• Proficient in coding in C# on.NET 6 or greater, SQL Server/T-SQL
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support security engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.
• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted code/security recommendations before adoption, escalating uncertainty and ensuring outcomes align to security, resiliency, and auditability expectations.
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, use of Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins or similar
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, applicant resiliency, and security
• Strong working knowledge of information and network security, IT risk management, and architectural concepts and patterns
• Advanced knowledge of and experience using specialized tools – Visual Studio, Sonar
• Proficiency using Microsoft Copilot effectively and safely in day-to-day engineering workflows

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills

• Familiarity with modern front-end technologies, Blazor, Razor, MVC
• Entity Framework or EF Core
