Job Overview:

As the Supply Chain Lead at Skyroot Aerospace, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the entire supply chain process for rocket production, including procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier relationships. This is a senior management role and requires a strategic thinker with experience in aerospace supply chain management and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the entire supply chain process, from sourcing to delivery, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
2. Own the vehicle cost reduction targets, come up with a strategy and execute the strategy with the team.
3. Co-own the production plan along with the manufacturing team.
4. Engage with critical suppliers and maintain relationships.
5. Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business objectives, ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations and standards.
6. Work with CFO to optimize payment terms and inventory levels without disrupting production.
7. Identify and mitigate risks related to the supply chain, including supplier performance issues, geopolitical factors, and regulatory changes.
8. Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless operations and alignment with company goals.
9. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancements in the supply chain.
10. Use data to monitor performance metrics, generate reports, and drive data-driven decision-making within the supply chain team.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors in mechanical/aerospace/aeronautical or related domain.
2. Bachelor’s/master’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics or a related field.
3. APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management) certification or other relevant certifications are a plus.

Experience:

1. 12+ years of supply chain experience, with at least 3 years in the aerospace or defense industry in a lead role.
2. Experience leading and managing a supply chain team.

Technical Skills:

1. Familiarity with aerospace-specific ERP systems.
2. Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and best practices.
3. Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
4. Knowledge of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and industry-specific requirements.
5. Experience working in a highly regulated industry with knowledge of safety and compliance standards.

Soft Skills:

2. Strong problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
