Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise Development LP is seeking a Lead SAP SD Solution Architect to design and govern SAP SD solutions in an onsite-only role in India. The candidate should have extensive SAP SD experience, SAP S/4HANA familiarity, and strong leadership capabilities to guide cross-functional teams.

Architectural responsibilities include defining integration approaches, maintaining documentation, and ensuring security, scalability, and regulatory compliance across the SAP landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; typically 12–15+ years of related experience.
• Lead SAP SD solutions with full lifecycle design and governance.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and FICO is preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills at the executive level.

Responsibilities

• Architect SAP SD solutions across modules (SD, FI, MM, SCM).
• Define integration architecture and ensure interoperability with SAP and non-SAP systems.
• Lead cross-functional teams and ensure scalable, secure, and compliant design.
• Create architectural documentation and design blueprints; maintain best practices.

What you’ll do

Architect must have strong working experience on SD and Supply Chain. Additional experience of working on FI is a plus. Should have designed new solutions based on customer requirements and best practices. Develop and maintain documentation for configuration, testing, integration, and compliance processes. Keep abreast of SAP best practices, new technologies, and compliance standards to ensure continuous improvement. Participates as a subject matter expert and leads cross-functional development teams. Design system architecture that ensures scalability, security and reliability. Define the integration architecture and ensure the seamless interoperability of systems and services. Analyze and translate business needs into solutions and architecture. Develops innovative multi-team solutions to complex problems with substantial impact to HPE’s strategic technical direction. Ensure that proposed solutions align with business goals and technology strategies. Provide guidance to functional and development teams during the implementation phase. Should be able interpret compliance requirements and translate to the business process for IT solutions. Lead efforts to resolve integration challenges and technical roadblocks. Create and maintain architectural documentation including design blueprints. Ensure that the solution complies with internal security policies and relevant industry regulations. Work closely with project managers and delivery team to ensure the successful solution delivery. Establish and enforce best practices and governance framework. Ensure consistency in the architecture across different projects and initiatives.

Education and Experience Required

Typically a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 15 years of related experience or a Master's degree and a minimum of 12 years experience. Looking for Lead Solution Architect with at least 12-15 years of experience and experience of SAP S/4HANA.

Skills and Knowledge

• SAP certification (SD, S/4HANA, FICO) is a plus.
• Advanced understanding of modern software development.
• Advanced understanding of Software Test methodologies, and an expert in testing tools.
• Strong Business Analysis skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated influencing skills at the executive level, and a high level of technical and team leadership skills.
• Knowledge or implementation experience in AI is a plus.
• Should have excellent communication skills.
