Job summary

BMW TechWorks India Private Limited in Chennai invites an experienced Lead SAP Fiori Full-Stack Developer to design, build, and support modern SAP Fiori applications for SAP S/4HANA. You will be a frontend specialist delivering end-to-end solutions across SAPUI5, ABAP, CDS views, and OData services.

You will collaborate with consultants, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure SAP applications, ensuring performance, usability, and integration

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 14-16 years of SAP development experience, with SAP Fiori/SAPUI5 delivery experience.
• Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or high-volume transactional environments.
• Full-stack SAP development: ABAP OO, CDS, OData, Gateway, and API integrations.
• Experience delivering custom SAP Fiori and Fiori Elements applications.
• Functional exposure to EWM, SD, and FICO processes.
• Ability to translate requirements into technical designs for scalable solutions.
• Experience in Agile delivery using Jira, Confluence, and Git.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop custom SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 applications for SAP S/4HANA.
• Build and enhance Fiori Elements applications using annotations, CDS views, and SAP Gateway services.
• Develop and maintain OData services with SAP Gateway, SEGW, RAP, and service bindings.
• Collaborate with EWM, SD, and FICO consultants to deliver integrated solutions.
• Configure SAP Fiori Launchpad content: catalogs, spaces, pages, tiles, roles.
• Apply SAP Fiori design guidelines for responsive and accessible UX.
• Analyze, debug, and resolve frontend, backend, OData, and integration issues.
• Support lifecycle activities: estimation, design, development, testing, deployment, production support.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and work with global teams.

As a Lead SAP Fiori Full-Stack Developer, you will design, build, enhance, and support modern SAP Fiori applications for SAP S/4HANA. You will be a front-end specialist with the ability to independently deliver end-to-end solutions across the SAPUI5/Fiori layer, ABAP back end, CDS views, and OData services.

You will work closely with functional consultants, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and user-friendly SAP applications.

Key responsibilities include:

• Design and develop custom SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 applications for SAP S/4HANA.
• Build and enhance Fiori Elements applications using annotations, CDS views, and SAP Gateway services.
• Develop and maintain OData services using SAP Gateway, SEGW, RAP, and service bindings where appropriate.
• Collaborate with EWM, SD, and FICO functional consultants to deliver integrated business solutions.

What should you bring along

• 5-8 years of hands-on SAP development experience, including strong SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 delivery experience.
• Experience working in automotive, manufacturing, supply chain, or high-volume transactional environments.
• Full-stack SAP development capability, including ABAP OO, CDS views, OData services, SAP Gateway, and API integrations.
• Experience delivering custom SAP Fiori applications as well as Fiori Elements applications.
• Practical understanding of SAP S/4HANA business processes, with functional exposure to EWM, SD, and FICO.
• Ability to translate functional requirements into technical designs and deliver maintainable, scalable solutions.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Git-based repositories.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with functional, technical, and business teams.
