Job summary

Guardian Life Insurance in India is seeking a seasoned Lead - Reporting & Analytics to drive the development and implementation of robust reporting and analytical solutions across its India operations. You will transform data into actionable insights to support strategic decisions and operational excellence for multiple business functions.

Qualifications

• 6–8 years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting roles
• Proven expertise in designing and developing complex reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, or similar
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL)
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes; Alteryx is a plus
• Experience with statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning concepts is a plus
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Familiarity with the Indian business landscape and market dynamics is desirable

This role will be instrumental in transforming data into actionable insights to support strategic decision-making and operational excellence across various business functions.

Job Responsibilities**

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of comprehensive reporting dashboards, key performance indicators (KPIs), and analytical models to track business performance.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear, concise, and actionable data and reporting solutions.
• Oversee the collection, validation, and transformation of data from various internal and external sources to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights, and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
• Collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to understand their analytical needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Develop and implement data governance best practices to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
• Mentor and guide junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and data-driven decision-making.
• Evaluate and recommend new reporting tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance analytical capabilities.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables for reporting and analytics initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends in data analytics and business intelligence.

Job Qualifications**

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
• 6-8 years of progressive experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting roles
