Job summary

ShimentoX Technologies is seeking an experienced Lead Python Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance backend systems. The role requires strong expertise in Python, distributed systems, REST APIs, microservices, and real-time architectures, with a track record of driving technical decisions and owning systems end-to-end.

You will mentor engineers and collaborate across teams to ensure production readiness.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend expertise.
• Hands-on Python experience.
• Experience building REST APIs and Microservices.
• Knowledge of Distributed Systems, scalability, fault tolerance and high availability.
• Experience with WebSockets / Real-Time backend systems.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and caching.
• Strong knowledge of performance optimization, monitoring, logging, debugging, and production operations.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and clean architecture.
• Proven leadership and architectural decision-making experience.
• Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and code review skills.
