Job summary

New Vision Softcom & Consultancy Pvt. Ltd is seeking a Lead Python Developer in Pune to drive backend software architecture and API design in a hybrid setup.

You will lead technical direction, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product owners to shape scalable systems in a production environment. The role requires 6+ years of Python expertise, strong Django/Flask/FastAPI experience, and solid knowledge of databases, REST/GraphQL APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant Python development experience in production environments.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and Python-based backend development.
• Strong experience with Django, Flask, and/or FastAPI.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system design for complex/distributed applications.
• Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, including data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization.
• Strong experience designing and integrating REST and GraphQL APIs, including authentication, authorization, and API versioning.
• Strong proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
• Strong understanding of unit testing, integration testing, test automation, and code quality standards.
• Proven experience in a technical leadership role such as Tech Lead, Team Lead, or equivalent.
• Experience mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and providing technical direction.
• Experience making architectural and technical decisions for scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.
• Strong experience with performance optimization, scalability, technical debt, and production troubleshooting.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working with product owners, architects, business representatives, and cross-functional teams.
• Strong leadership, ownership, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum practices, including estimation, sprint planning, and delivery tracking.
• Strong English communication skills (Upper-Intermediate or higher), both written and verbal.
• Collaborative and inclusive approach with a focus on knowledge sharing, constructive feedback, and team development.

Must Have
