Job Summary

We are hiring for our UK Based client in Ahmedabad to lead a team of developers in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Python development, system architecture, team leadership, RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and modern software engineering practices. Experience with Generative AI technologies will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Python developers, ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance backend applications using Python.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using FastAPI, Django, Flask, or similar frameworks.
• Drive technical discussions, architecture decisions, and code quality standards.
• Work with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis).
• Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) and promote best coding practices across the team.
• Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and support team members in problem-solving.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, DevOps, Frontend Developers, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
• Participate in project planning, effort estimation, and resource allocation.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to development processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Python and software engineering principles.
• Proven experience leading and managing development teams.
• Hands‑on experience with FastAPI, Django, Flask, or similar frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with TDD, unit testing, and testing frameworks such as Pytest and Unittest.
• Proficiency with Git and version control workflows.
• Strong understanding of API security, authentication, and authorization.
• Experience designing scalable and maintainable system architectures.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Good to Have (Plus Skills)

• Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, OpenAI APIs, LangChain, and Vector Databases.
• Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 8+ years of professional experience in Python/backend development.
• Team Lead or Technical Lead experience managing development teams.
