Job Overview
The Technical Lead (TL) is responsible for leading a development team through all stages of a project, from inception to delivery. The TL is the focal point of every technical decision and works closely with Project Managers. The role requires broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to architect solutions by mapping common customer and service operations business problems to reusable deliverables. Proven capability in senior technology decision-making, agile, business value, and end-to-end IT security is required.
Responsibilities
- Proactively manage the development team and architect technology related to automating multi‑vendor storage and compute solutions.
- Provide vision to management on technology, tools, and skill requirements.
- Lead prioritization of work, generate roadmaps with delivery dates for each relevant feature.
- Guide developers in designing the best possible solution for each problem.
- Perform code reviews and technical sessions to unblock developers, ensuring code is properly tested.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to monitor progress, minimize issues, and ensure delivery success and customer satisfaction.
- Listen to customer needs, understand their challenges, articulate overall service solutions and implementation plans in comprehensible terms.
- Lead multiple projects, managing time effectively based on project needs.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for all members of the combined customer team.
- Actively involve the customer to discuss and complete the engagement project readiness.
- Build relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable advocacy.
- Understand system architecture of upstream and downstream impacts when implementing solutions.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of products, administration best practices, and agile methodology best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years IT architecture experience in a large enterprise capacity.
- 5+ years combined DevOps experience with compute, storage, data security, database, ETL, and API development.
- Strong technical background and firm understanding of compute and storage platforms, operating systems, fabric interconnects, DevOps pipeline development, and the DevOps lifecycle.
- Strong object‑oriented programming knowledge, advocating for proper use of SOLID principles.
- Proficient programming skills in Python and JavaScript; 5+ years experience in Django, Django Rest Framework, Flask, and FastAPI; good understanding of C#, ASP.NET webforms; 5+ years experience in DevOps Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Substantial experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Prior customer‑facing experience (internal or external) is a must.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience using agile development methodology.
- Experience with automation platforms such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, and Puppet is a plus.
- Strong project management background with specific experience meeting aggressive timelines, highly desired.
