Job summary

LANXESS Deutschland GmbH in Nagda, Madhya Pradesh, India is seeking a seasoned production leader to drive planning and optimize asset utilization across specialty chemical operations. You will coordinate with multiple teams to meet production targets with quality, while maintaining safety and cost controls.

The role emphasizes hands-on plant leadership, people management, and continuous improvement, including adherence to ISO/GMP standards and participation in audits.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech degree in Chemical/Production/Industrial Engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in production management, preferably in a specialty chemical plant.
• Strong safety background and risk awareness.
• Experience handling continuous and batch production processes.
• Exposure to ISO, GMP, HACCP and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan production to meet sales targets with quality and efficiency.
• Maximize asset utilization and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely production plans.
• Manage resources including raw materials, utilities and manpower.
• Coordinate shut-down planning and cross-plant synchronization.
• Drive productivity and efficiency improvements across all plant sections.
• Prepare monthly MIS on capacity utilization, losses and rejections.
• Train direct associates and shop floor staff; promote performance culture.
• Support emergency/crisis planning and ensure HSE compliance and audits.

• To achieve production plan as per sales target with quality.
• Ensuring and maximizing asset utilization of production plants and resources (OEE).
• Resources management for smooth running of the plant efficiently like raw material, utility, manpower etc.
• Co-ordination with all stakeholders for smooth achievement of production plans.
• Shut down synchronized planning of different plants
• Productivity & efficiency improvement in all sections of the plants.
• Monthly MIS viz capacity utilization , summary of production losses , reject material monitoring of all products .
• Training the direct associates & shop floor subordinates in upgrading their skills.Promoting the performance cultural values.
• Planning of emergency /crises management.
• Ensuring HSE practices , ISO 9000, ISO 14000, HACCP, GMP and X-act implementation in plant.Represent the above plants as auditee in various audits.
