Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a Proxy Product Owner to represent the Process Engineering domain within the ForCFR product team. The Lead Process Engineer coordinates a global India-based team, translating requirements into development activities and guiding modelling, testing, and deliveries.

The role requires managing product backlog, aligning with roadmaps, and collaborating with affiliates, engineers, and software developers to ensure high-value solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in chemical engineering with 10+ years of experience.
  • Experience in Process Engineering, Process Modelling & Simulation, and Data Analysis.
  • Familiarity with production forecasting, greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions assessment, and digital engineering solutions for asset optimization.
  • Experience in GHG reduction projects.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and product-driven organizations.
  • Strong understanding of requirements management, testing methodologies, and product lifecycle management.
  • Backlog and priority management.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, and document business, affiliate, and Process Engineering requirements.
  • Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage, prioritize, and maintain the functional product backlog in alignment with business objectives and roadmap priorities.
  • Lead and coordinate the activities of the India based Process and Reservoir Engineering team supporting ForCFR.
  • Plan and oversee model development, model updates, and engineering deliverables across the Process Engineering workstream.
  • Identify opportunities for product enhancements, process optimization, and new digital capabilities.
  • Act as the primary functional interface between affiliates, engineering teams, the Product Owner, and software development teams.
  • Collaborate with the Scrum Master and developers to clarify requirements and support solution design.
  • Coordinate functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation campaigns.
  • Review delivered functionalities, validate results against acceptance criteria, and ensure corrective actions are implemented where required.
  • Support affiliate engagement, gather user feedback, and drive continuous product improvement.
  • Monitor execution of the ForCFR roadmap, communicate progress to stakeholders, and ensure alignment between engineering priorities and business goals.

Mission

The Proxy Product Owner (PPO) represents the Process Engineering domain within the ForCFR product team and serves as the primary functional counterpart to the Product Owner. The role ensures that business, affiliate, and engineering requirements are captured, prioritized, and translated into development activities. As the Lead Process Engineer, the PPO coordinates and guides the Process and Reservoir Engineering team, ensuring consistent delivery of modelling, support, and engineering activities. Working closely with affiliates, engineering specialists, and software developers, the PPO drives backlog management, testing, requirement validation, and product evolution while supporting the execution of the ForCFR roadmap and delivery of high-value solutions to end users. The PPO also actively participates in the knowledge transfer program with the current ForCFR team to ensure continuity of expertise and smooth transition of responsibilities. The PPO acts as the functional lead of the India-based Process and Reservoir Engineering team.

Work Experience
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering with 10 + Years experience.
