Job summary

Quest Global is seeking a Process Engineer – Thermodynamics Evolution to support energy-transition projects across upstream, midstream, downstream, LNG, refining, and petrochemicals. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of Thermodynamics, Process Design, Heat & Mass Transfer, and Process Simulation.
  • Experience or certification in CCUS, Net Zero Emissions, Energy Management, Sustainability, or GHG Accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform steady-state and dynamic process simulations using Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, Pro/II, UniSim, or equivalent tools.
  • Develop thermodynamic models for hydrocarbon processing, LNG, gas treatment, refinery, petrochemical, hydrogen, and CCUS facilities.
  • Optimize heat integration, energy recovery, process efficiency, and utility consumption.
  • Conduct pinch analysis and exergy analysis to identify energy losses and improvement opportunities.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer – Thermodynamics Evolution to support the transformation of conventional Oil & Gas facilities into low-carbon, energy-efficient, and net-zero emission operations. The role combines classical process engineering expertise with advanced thermodynamic optimization, carbon footprint reduction strategies, greenhouse gas (GHG) management, hydrogen technologies, carbon capture utilization and storage (CCUS), electrification, and digital energy solutions.

The successful candidate will analyze, design, optimize, and improve upstream, midstream, downstream, LNG, refining, petrochemical, and emerging energy systems while driving sustainability objectives and supporting corporate net-zero commitments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform steady-state and dynamic process simulations using Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, Pro/II, UniSim, or equivalent tools.
  • Develop thermodynamic models for hydrocarbon processing, LNG, gas treatment, refinery, petrochemical, hydrogen, and CCUS facilities.
  • Optimize heat integration, energy recovery, process efficiency, and utility consumption.
  • Conduct equipment sizing and design for:
  • Heat exchangers
  • Compressors
  • Pumps
  • Separators
  • Distillation columns
  • Reactors
  • Cryogenic systems
  • Perform pinch analysis and exergy analysis to identify energy losses and improvement opportunities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong knowledge of Thermodynamics, Process Design, Heat & Mass Transfer, and Process Simulation.
  • Experience or certification in Carbon Capture (CCUS), Net Zero Emissions, Energy Management, Sustainability, or GHG Accounting is preferred.
