Job summary

FinOps Weekly in Hyderabad seeks a Lead/Principal Developer to drive FinOps tooling and cloud cost visibility across our cloud products. You will design end-to-end tooling, align cost data with business outcomes, and empower engineering and product teams to optimize spend.

You will mentor peers, enforce cloud-native and cost-aware practices on AWS, and work with Finance and Architecture to translate financial requirements into scalable solutions. Hybrid work arrangement applies.

Qualifications

• Deep FinOps knowledge including cloud cost management frameworks.
• Hands-on experience building tooling for cloud-based products.
• Strong fullstack development capabilities across frontend and backend.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deliver FinOps and BizOps tooling for cloud products to surface cost visibility and optimization opportunities.
• Architect solutions linking cloud consumption to business priorities for accountability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Architecture, and Business stakeholders to translate cost requirements into robust tooling.
• Champion cloud-native development practices and cost-aware architecture patterns on AWS.
• Establish and drive CI/CD pipelines and Agile practices for high-quality tooling delivery.

Here’s What You’ll Do. Design, develop, and deliver FinOps and BizOps tooling for cloud products, enabling real-time visibility into cloud cost allocation, usage trends, and optimization opportunities. Apply deep FinOps knowledge to architect solutions that align cloud consumption with business priorities, driving accountability and efficiency across engineering and product teams. Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Architecture, and Business stakeholders to translate cloud cost and operational requirements into robust, scalable developer tools. Champion cloud-native development best practices on AWS, including cost-aware architecture patterns, tagging strategies, and resource optimization workflows. Establish and drive engineering standards, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile practices, ensuring high-quality, maintainable tool delivery. Technology Tools Jira Confluence GitHub AWS Role Essentials FinOps is the primary skill — deep, hands-on knowledge of FinOps principles, cloud cost management frameworks, and cloud financial tooling is a must. Proven experience developing tools or platforms for cloud products, with a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure cost structures (AWS preferred). Strong Fullstack development skills, with the ability to build end-to-end tooling solutions that surface financial and operational insights. Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native development practices in a fast-paced Agile/Scrum environment. Strong ability to communicate complex financial and cloud concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders with clarity and confidence. What We’d Like to See Hands-on experience with BizOps practices, connecting business metrics, operational data, and engineering performance. Familiarity with cloud cost optimization strategies — including reserved instances, savings plans, rightsizing, and tagging governance. Experience working closely with Finance and Product teams to build shared visibility into cloud spend and ROI. Ability to influence technical and financial decision-making by translating data into actionable business insights through tooling.
