About The Role
As a POS/CRT Lead Developer, your responsibilities will encompass building scalable, predictable, high-quality, and high-performance solutions on Microsoft Dynamics 365 to support the retail and commerce businesses for customers. We seek a dynamic individual who can elicit business requirements and come up with best-in-class solutions working around some of the known limitations of the POS-CRT stack.
Essential Functions
- You will be responsible for analysis, design, build and configure of CPOS/MPOS within D365 Commerce for custom functionality to meet business process and application requirements.
- The customization development will include and may not be limited to custom fields, forms, report, workflows, business rules and integrations.
- Your nature of work will be spread across one or more of development, support, maintenance, and implementation of complex project modules.
- You will be creating technical design documents and other technical deliverables per the project processes.
- You will collaborate with the project’s architect and/or integration analyst to understand design considerations, review designs, and align and adhere solutions to industry best practices.
- You will be responsible for integrating the POS and CRT systems with other business systems to ensure seamless data exchange and end-to-end business operations.
- Aside from development, you will also provide technical support in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and code modifications for post-go-live enhancements.
- You will work both as an individual member – independently completing your deliverables on time as well as providing technical guidance to onsite and offshore developers as needed.
- You will be a team player – supporting other team members in your project, providing clarifications, suggesting best practices in software development, and sharing your knowledge with other team members, including via company blogs.
- As a member of an experienced, energetic, rapid development project team, you will regularly communicate with the rest of the team, sharing information on your deliverables and blockers, and seeking support from the project team.
- As a lead developer, you will need to stay updated with the latest trends, best practices, and feature releases with regards to D365.
Required Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of D365 Retail POS, Retail Server, CRT, CPOS & MPOS configuration and development.
- In-depth knowledge of D365 Retail architecture and Retail extension model.
- 10+ years of hands‑on expertise in designing and developing MPOS/CPOS application extensions.
- Strong C# programming skills for developing CRT/CPOS/MPOS methods.
- Excellent debugging, issue tracking and an ability to comprehend large workflows.
- Hands‑on expertise in using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) and WCF Data Services.
- Good database management (RDBMS) skills including stored procedures, functions, and views.
- Good understanding of OData REST API protocol.
- Good understanding of channel security architecture, authentication processes, roles, and token issue processes.
- Hands‑on expertise in using ASP.NET Web API.
- Expertise in Typescript and Knockout Binding.
- Experience working on third‑party API integrations with CPOS/MPOS.
- Familiarity with software implementation and structured implementation methodologies.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
