Job summary

Adani Airports Holding Limited seeks a seasoned Lead for MEPF & IT to drive mechanical design, procurement coordination, and on-site implementation across airport projects in Ahmedabad. You will manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead stakeholder engagement to keep projects on schedule.

The role requires 15–18 years of mechanical engineering experience, a bachelor’s degree in engineering, and strong HVAC/CFD knowledge.

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential; Master degree will be an added advantage.
15-18 years of experience in mechanical engineering.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and energy efficiency requirements.

Responsibilities

Design implementation & coordination with consultants, vendors and internal teams to integrate mechanical systems in planning and construction stages.
Track and record mechanical project costs during design and construction to support budgeting and reporting.
Provide technical support for mechanical systems during design and construction; troubleshoot on-site challenges.
Assist in obtaining stakeholder approvals by coordinating with internal teams and regulatory bodies.
Ensure energy efficiency and compliance of mechanical systems with safety standards and project goals.
Monitor progress through site visits, report performance and support construction adjustments as needed.

Job Purpose

Lead - MEPF & IT is responsible for leading the MEPF and IT departments to achieve the organization's CAPEX goals. This role involves managing multiple projects, creating detailed specifications, and driving innovation with advanced technologies. The Lead - MEPF & IT oversees system repairs and retrofitting, understands various technical indices, and allocates work effectively. Additionally, this role identifies future opportunities, ensures alignment with organizational goals, manages budgets and resources, builds strong stakeholder relationships, ensures regulatory compliance, and monitors departmental performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.

Responsibilities

Design Implementation & Coordination

Implement mechanical design plans by collaborating with consultants, vendors, and internal teams to ensure all mechanical systems are seamlessly integrated into both the planning and construction stages of airport projects. Ensure that mechanical systems are installed according to the project’s design specifications, and collaborate with construction teams to address any discrepancies between design and implementation. Posses sound knowledge in Central hvac systems,Ventialation Smoke mangament,CFD analysis pertaining to HVAC..Have capability for establishing value engineering proposals with capability of reviewing drawings with respect to constructability aspect. Possess field knowledge in solving execution related HVAC &Electrical issues. Have the basic Coordination knowledge for Layout closures. Ensure Delivery of drawings (DD and GFC) from the Construction partners. Possess knowledgeable in giving comments during CD and SD stage so that changes in DD and GFC stage is managed.

Tracking Mechanical Project Costs

Track and record mechanical project costs during both the design and construction phases, documenting all expenses and assisting in financial reporting for budgeting. Ensure that financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with both planning and construction budgets to support effective cost management throughout the project.

Technical Support For Mechanical Systems

Provide technical support for the mechanical systems during the design and construction stages by proactively addressing challenges and discrepancies that arise on-site. Work closely with the engineering and construction teams to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure that the mechanical designs are implemented accurately and efficiently during construction.

Assist In Obtaining Stakeholder Approvals

Support the approval process for mechanical systems by coordinating communication between internal planning teams, construction managers, and external regulatory bodies. Ensure that mechanical designs and systems meet regulatory requirements, facilitating the timely approval of both the design and construction phases.

Energy Efficiency & Compliance In Mechanical Systems

Contribute to the design and implementation of mechanical systems that are optimized for energy efficiency and compliance with safety standards. Oversee the construction process to ensure that mechanical systems are installed as designed and operate efficiently within the completed infrastructure. Ensure that mechanical systems align with the project’s long-term energy goals, safety protocols, and aesthetic requirements.

Monitoring Progress & Reporting

Conduct thorough site visits to monitor the progress of mechanical system installations during construction, ensuring that all work is performed according to the approved design and project timeline. Report on system performance, validating that mechanical systems meet both design specifications and operational requirements, and support any necessary adjustments during construction to achieve desired outcomes.
