Job summary

EPAM Systems seeks a Lead JavaScript Automation Test Engineer to drive automated testing efforts across scalable solutions. You will lead a testers team, shape test strategies, and build AI-powered automation workflows while maintaining high quality standards.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, integrate with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and mentor teammates on design patterns and testing best practices.

Qualifications

• 9–14 years in software test automation and quality engineering
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline
• Strong knowledge of authentication methods including Basic Authentication, Bearer Tokens, OAuth, NTLM
• Familiarity with design patterns (Singleton, Factory, Decorator, POM, Page Factory)
• Ability to set coding standards, branching strategies and version control best practices
• Experience configuring static code analysis, quality gates and automation reporting dashboards
• Knowledge of DoR/DoD, Confirmation Testing, Regression Testing and Change Impact Testing
• Direct experience using LLMs like GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor
• Solid grasp of Prompt Engineering, Context Window Management, Tokenization and Model Selection
• Experience creating embeddings for semantic search use cases
• Ability to build AI-powered test automation workflows using Claude, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, OpenAI assistants
