Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks a Senior Java Microservices & GCP Platform Engineer to design, develop, and deploy cloud-native apps using Java and Spring Boot in a scalable, secure environment.

You will work with architects, product teams, and platform engineers to implement GitOps, CI/CD with Tekton, Cloud Build, Argo CD, and manage Docker/Kubernetes on GCP.

The role demands 7+ years of software development with Java/Spring, GCP, PostgreSQL, SonarQube, and Agile practices in a large enterprise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing, developing, and deploying microservices architectures.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong expertise in Docker and Kubernetes, including deployment, orchestration, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Tekton, Cloud Build, and Argo CD.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, including relational database design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience using SonarQube for code quality analysis, security scanning, and governance.
