Job summary

Wroots Global in Bangalore (Kadubeesanahalli) is seeking a Lead Java Engineer with 10+ years of backend development experience. You will architect and ship large-scale microservices using Java 11/17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Hibernate/JPA, while mentoring a growing engineering team.

The role requires strong data modeling, REST and gRPC APIs, and hands-on Kubernetes/Docker, with Kafka for messaging.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional Java backend development experience (Java 11 / 17 / 21).
• Deep expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, and Hibernate/JPA.
• Proven experience designing and building microservices and RESTful / gRPC APIs.
• Strong proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL stores (Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming platforms.
• Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes (or OpenShift) for containerization and orchestration.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams and delivering large-scale distributed systems in production.
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, and system design (CAP theorem, eventual consistency, distributed transactions).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Candidates should have experience leading or mentoring a team.
