Job summary

Astrobase Space Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Bengaluru seeks an experienced Lead – IT Infrastructure & Information Security to build, operate, and scale the company’s IT function. You will own enterprise IT, end‑user computing, IAM, networking, backup, and information security in a hands‑on leadership role.

You will define IT architecture, work with MSPs and consultants, and drive operational excellence in a fast‑growing engineering organization. 8+ years of relevant experience is anticipated.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of experience in Enterprise IT, IT Infrastructure, Systems Administration, or Information Security.
• Hands-on with Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, enterprise networking.
• Experience implementing enterprise security controls including EDR, identity security, data protection, and Zero Trust.
• Practical experience implementing or operating an ISO 27001 ISMS and supporting certification audits.
• Experience managing MSPs, infrastructure vendors, and enterprise technology partners.

Responsibilities

• Own the company’s IT infrastructure roadmap, ensuring systems remain secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with business growth.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and enterprise SaaS applications.
• Own the lifecycle of IT assets, including laptops, engineering workstations, mobile devices, software licensing, onboarding/offboarding, and identity provisioning.
• Design and govern enterprise networks across offices, manufacturing facilities, and test locations, including firewalls, switches, VPNs, Wi‑Fi, VLANs, internet redundancy, and network segmentation.
• Own enterprise storage, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and engineering data repositories.
• Support high‑performance engineering workstations and CAD/CAE environments while defining enterprise standards for end‑user computing.
• Lead and continuously improve the ISO 27001:2022 Information Security Management System (ISMS), including policies, risk assessments, audit coordination, and compliance activities.
• Manage endpoint security, identity security, and data protection using Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Entra ID, CrowdStrike Falcon, and Microsoft Purview.
• Review the security of cloud and on‑premises infrastructure, conduct third‑party security assessments, and ensure security controls are embedded into new technology deployments.
• Own relationships with MSPs and technology vendors by reviewing solution designs, monitoring service delivery, ensuring SLA compliance, and driving continuous improvement.
• Act as the technical escalation owner for major IT service disruptions and cybersecurity incidents, coordinating recovery with internal stakeholders and service providers.
• Establish IT governance, operational standards, documentation, reporting, and technology roadmaps that support the company’s growth to approximately 200 employees.

Role Overview

Astrobase is looking for an experienced IT Infrastructure and Information Security professional to build, operate, and scale the company’s IT function. You will be the single in‑house owner of enterprise IT infrastructure, end‑user computing, identity and access management, networking, business continuity, data protection, and information security. You will define the IT architecture, operate business‑critical systems, and work closely with managed service providers (MSPs) and specialist consultants to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable IT services. This is a hands‑on leadership role suited for someone who enjoys building systems, driving technical decisions, and establishing operational excellence in a fast‑growing engineering organization.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills & Experience

• 7–12 years of experience in Enterprise IT, IT Infrastructure, Systems Administration, or Information Security.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, enterprise networking, Windows infrastructure, endpoint management, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Experience implementing enterprise security controls, including EDR, identity security, data protection, and Zero Trust principles.
• Practical experience implementing or operating an ISO 27001 ISMS and supporting certification audits.
• Experience managing Managed Service Providers (MSPs), infrastructure vendors, and enterprise technology partners.
• Proven ability to build or scale IT infrastructure in a growing organization with minimal supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, vendor management, and stakeholder communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor certification.
• Microsoft certifications in Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Azure, or Security.
• Experience in Defence, Aerospace, Space Technology, Manufacturing, or other regulated industries.
• Knowledge of Operational Technology (OT) security and experience supporting engineering environments, including CAD/CAE applications.
