Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Architect to lead and deliver architectural design across projects in a collaborative, client-focused environment.

You will work with Managing Principals, Project Managers, and designers to develop concepts, produce construction documents and ensure design quality and profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Architecture from NAAB-accredited university.
• 7+ years of design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience with SketchUp, Lumion, or Photoshop preferred.
• Strong production skills to create design and construction documents.
• Knowledge of state and national building codes.
• Excellent organization, multi-tasking and time management.
• Strong design, graphic and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Ability to lead and motivate others across multiple projects.

Your impact

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of architectural design, including conceptual studies, programming, schematic documents, design development documents, and construction documents.
• Develop strong relationships within the firm and with our clients. This includes working side-by-side in a team environment with our Managing Principals, Project Managers, Architects, Interior Designers, and Emerging Professionals on active production.
• Responsible for overall client satisfaction, design quality and profitability of all projects undertaken that contribute to the firm's strategic priorities.
• Promote and foster collaboration and engagement with all team members.
• Manage, direct and mentor Project Managers, Architects, and junior staff.

Here’s what you’ll need

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Architecture from a NAAB-accredited university.
• 7+ years of design experience is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCad and Revit.
• Experience with graphics software such as SketchUp, Lumion, or Photoshop is preferred.
• Technical production skills are necessary and require a demonstrated ability to effectively produce design and construction documents.
• Understanding of relevant codes such as state and national building codes
• Strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
• Strong design, graphic, and presentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team ethic.
• Ability to interact professionally with office leadership, support staff, and clients.
• Ability to direct and motivate work efforts of others and handle stressful situations.
