Job summary

An engineering firm is seeking a Lead Instrumentation & Control Engineer for projects in Mumbai and Bangalore. Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation Engineering and 8-10 years of experience in EPC Detail Engineering. Responsibilities include co-ordinating with engineers, tracking budgets, and guiding junior staff. Knowledge in PLC Programming and Power Plant Engineering is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Control System Engineering and Instrument Sizing Calculations required.

Lead Instrumentation & Control Engineer (Power) - Mumbai & Bangalore role at Burns & McDonnell India

The Burns & McDonnell India (BMI) Power (PWR) Global practice provides engineering and CAD services to support Civil, Electrical, I&C, Mechanical and Structural disciplines for power generation and storage projects. Projects span conventional and renewable power generation, including reciprocating engines, simple cycle and combined cycle combustion turbines, existing plant maintenance and improvements, electrical upgrades, controls upgrades, battery storage, photovoltaic solar, mining utilities, and carbon capture & hydrogen blending. BMI’s scope can range from engineering detailed design services to self-perform EPC. Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering with 8 – 10 years of experience in EPC Detail Engineering
• Experience in Basic and Detail Design Engineering activities from P&ID Review, Instrument Index, I/O list, Instrument Datasheet & Specifications, Control System Engineering, Instrument Sizing Calculations, Vendor Drawing Review, Loop Drawings, Instrument Installations Drawings, Instrument Location Layout, Cable Schedule, etc.
• Knowledge of Power Plant Engineering & COMOS software is an added advantage
• Knowledge of PLC Programming or Interest in Logic development is an added advantage
