Job summary

UST in India is seeking an Automation Engineer with 5–7 years of hands-on experience in test automation. The role focuses on Playwright with TypeScript, Appium for mobile automation, and cloud-based testing on LambdaTest/BrowserStack.

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web and mobile apps, integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines to raise product quality. The candidate will lead automation efforts, implement reusable components, and contribute to QA best

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of hands-on experience in QA/Test Automation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright automation framework.
• Strong programming experience in TypeScript and modern JavaScript concepts.
• Experience in developing or maintaining automation frameworks, preferably using Page Object Model and reusable components.
• Hands-on experience with Appium for mobile automation testing.
• Experience testing Android and/or iOS applications.
• Hands-on experience with LambdaTest and/or BrowserStack.
• Strong understanding of UI automation and automation design patterns.
• Experience with API testing, REST APIs, JSON, and API validation.
• Experience executing tests across multiple browsers, operating systems, and devices.
• Knowledge of at least one CI/CD platform, such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
• Good knowledge of Git/version control.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and software testing methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Playwright with TypeScript, along with Appium for mobile automation and cloud-based testing platforms such as LambdaTest and/or BrowserStack.

The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks for web and mobile applications, integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, and improving overall product quality through continuous testing practices.

• Understanding of security testing concepts.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
