Job summary

Sony is seeking a Global Coupa Technical/Functional Lead in Bengaluru, India. The role combines hands-on Coupa configuration with strategic oversight for finance and procurement processes within a hybrid work model (hybrid / work from home / in-office).

You will drive integration with SAP and ERP systems, lead data architecture, and ensure robust testing and documentation. Travel may be required to support global Sony operations.

Core Skills

• Deep Coupa Platform Knowledge: Thorough understanding of Coupa modules (procurement, sourcing, invoice management) and functionalities.
• Business Process Expertise: Strong grasp of procurement, finance, and other related processes to translate requirements into configurations.
• Configuration & Administration: Proficiency in setting up workflows, approval processes, user roles, and other system settings.
• Integration Knowledge: Understanding of Coupa integrations with ERP systems like SAP or D365.
• Reporting & Analytics: Ability to leverage Coupa’s reporting tools for process improvement.

Role Overview

Services department implements, enhances, and supports products and services that underpin PlayStation’s business operations. Coupa is a strategic solution in this space, and the platform currently comprises SAP S/4HANA, BW, IBP, and Coupa. We seek an experienced and hands‑on Global Coupa Technical/Functional Lead to drive, manage, and support the delivery of technical solutions so that the platform continues to meet the needs of Sony globally.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of new architecture and major functional upgrades released by Coupa.
• Build solid expertise of the entire Coupa application suite to design application and data frameworks.
• Adhere to Coupa iterative development processes to deliver concrete value each release.
• Act as sounding board for architecture standards and patterns, advocating accurate usage.
• Participate in defect analysis for maintenance releases to ensure robust resolution of customer‑facing issues.
• Own prioritization, management, and reporting of progress against identified finance initiatives.
• Work closely with SAP and MuleSoft teams to define requirements for end‑to‑end workflows.
• Validate system change delivery approaches to ensure accurate testing and documentation.
• Contribute to interface design and coordinate integration testing.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues across the SAP platform.

Qualifications

• Proven hands‑on experience with Coupa configurations and administration.
• Understanding of underlying SAP financial table structures and data elements.
• Experience managing technology‑enabled change life cycle from requirements through live operation.
• Knowledge of Coupa marketplace products, SAP S4/HANA, analytics and reporting.
• Experience with procurement integration points with finance functional areas.
• Effective stakeholder management, negotiation, and influence skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, decision‑making abilities.
• Self‑motivated, highly organized, able to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
