Job summary

UST is hiring an AI Engineer (Agentic App Experience / LLM Integration) to design and deliver production‑grade AI features. You will work on integrating LLMs, agentic workflows, and AI services for enterprise apps, ensuring security, scalability, and reliability.

You will collaborate with MLOps, platform engineering, and security teams to build intelligent applications leveraging modern AI capabilities. Strong CI/CD and testing practices are expected.

Summary

UST is looking for an experienced AI Engineer (Agentic App Experience / LLM Integration) to design and deliver production‑grade AI‑powered application features. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs), agentic workflows, and AI services into enterprise applications while ensuring scalability, security, and reliability. You will collaborate with MLOps, platform engineering, and security teams to build intelligent applications that leverage modern AI capabilities.

The Opportunity

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Design and develop AI‑powered application features using agentic workflows exposed by MLOps platforms.
Integrate Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities through AI Gateways, including authentication, routing, policy enforcement, and logging.
Build orchestration workflows using tool/function calling, prompt engineering, context management, and prompt versioning.
Ensure production readiness by optimizing application latency, implementing monitoring, evaluations, guardrails, and operational support.
Collaborate with platform engineering, MLOps, security, and compliance teams to implement governance, data privacy, and AI safety controls.
Develop secure, scalable, and reliable AI integrations following enterprise engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve AI application performance and user experience.
Contribute to AI engineering standards, reusable frameworks, and best practices across teams.

What You Need

Required Skills

Strong experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into enterprise applications.
Hands‑on experience with AI agents and orchestration frameworks.
Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs for AI services.
Strong understanding of prompt engineering, prompt versioning, and context management.
Experience implementing production‑grade AI applications with monitoring, observability, and reliability.
Knowledge of AI evaluation methodologies, guardrails, and safety controls.
Strong software engineering fundamentals including testing, debugging, secure coding, and CI/CD practices.

Desired Skills

Proficiency in Python along with one backend programming language such as Java or Node.js.
Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
Knowledge of Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector databases/search technologies.
Experience with Azure AI Services or AWS AI Services.
Familiarity with MLOps platforms and AI Gateway implementations.
Exposure to cloud‑native architectures and microservices.

Qualification

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Relevant experience in AI Engineering, Machine Learning Engineering, or Backend Software Development with AI integrations.
