Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Generative AI Developer with AWS to architect GenAI solutions using Bedrock and related platforms. You will design AI-powered applications, integrate foundation models with enterprise systems, and drive secure, governance-focused AI practices.

Responsibilities include building RAG architectures, prompt engineering, model evaluation, and API-driven microservices integration across business scenarios.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years overall IT experience and 5+ years cloud architecture.
• AWS services: EC2, S3, Lambda plus RDS, VPC, IAM.
• Proven GenAI experience with Bedrock or similar platforms.
• LLMs, prompt engineering, embeddings, and RAG expertise.
• Python, React or Node.js proficiency.
• Experience with API-driven and microservices architectures.
• Nice to have LangChain, LlamaIndex familiarity; vector DBs OpenSearch/Pinecone/FAISS.
• Understanding of MLOps and model lifecycle management.
• Multi-cloud exposure (Azure or OpenAI).

• Create AI-powered applications such as chatbots, copilots, knowledge assistants and document processing solutions
• Evaluate and fine-tune LLM-based use cases for business scenarios
• Integrate GenAI models with enterprise applications and APIs
• Implement secure AI architectures aligned with enterprise and regulatory standards
• Ensure data privacy, model governance and responsible AI practices

Requirements
