Job summary

Indegene is seeking a Backend Engineer to design and develop scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI, and to build agentic AI pipelines with LangChain, LangGraph, and Bedrock. You will implement RAG architectures, vector search, and integrate with LLMs, while also delivering responsive UI with React/Next.js.

Strong backend skills, AI toolchains, and cloud experience are required. You will join a dynamic team driving healthcare-technology convergence, contributing to scalable systems

Qualifications

• AI - Data Science degree or equivalent
• Strong backend and frontend stack experience in product engineering
• Experience with large language models and AI toolchains preferred

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend services using Python and FastAPI
• Build AI pipelines with LangChain/LangGraph and Bedrock agents
• Implement RAG architectures including document ingestion, embedding, and vector search
• Develop frontend UI with React/Next.js and integrate via REST/GraphQL/WebSockets

Job Description

Backend (Primary)

Design and develop scalable backend services using Python, FastAPI, AWS Lambda, or container-based architectures.

Build and integrate agentic AI pipelines using

• LangChain / LangGraph


• Amazon Bedrock


• Strands Framework


• Multi-agent orchestration patterns

Implement RAG architectures:

• Document ingestion pipelines


• Chunking strategies


• Embedding generation


• Vector search & retrieval


• Work with Vector Databases - Milvus, Chroma.


• Integrate with LLMs, embedding models, and custom model endpoints.


• Implement workflow automation, messaging queues, event triggers, and caching layers.


• Ensure robust API development with logging, monitoring, rate limiting, authentication & authorization.

Develop responsive and modern UI using:

• React / Next.js


• TypeScript


• TailwindCSS / Material UI


• Integrate frontend with backend services via REST / WebSockets / GraphQL.

Core Technical Skills

5–7 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer in product engineering.

Strong expertise in Python and backend frameworks like FastAPI or Flask.

Experience with Agentic AI frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, Bedrock Agents, Strands).

Hands‑on with React / Next.js for UI.

Experience with Vector Databases and retrieval workflows.

Solid understanding of LLM integration, embeddings, tokenization, and prompt lifecycle.

Experience with AWS cloud services, containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
