We are seeking a highly skilled Lead GCP Data Architect with extensive experience in enterprise data migration, modernization, and cloud-native architecture design. The ideal candidate will be responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data platforms on Google Cloud Platform while actively contributing to implementation activities. This role requires a strong balance of architecture leadership and hands-on engineering, with expertise in designing modern Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Lakehouse solutions. The candidate will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to develop enterprise-grade data ecosystems that support analytics, reporting, AI/ML, and operational workloads.

What You'll Do:
- Design and implement end-to-end enterprise data migration solutions from on-premises and cloud platforms to Google Cloud Platform.
- Evaluate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data workloads and recommend the most appropriate GCP services.
- Architect and develop batch, streaming, and Change Data Capture (CDC) data pipelines.
- Lead data modernization initiatives involving Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, and Medallion architectures.
- Design scalable and cloud-native data platforms supporting analytics, reporting, AI/ML, and business intelligence workloads.
- Develop enterprise standards for data ingestion, integration, orchestration, monitoring, and observability.
- Define and implement best practices for data quality, governance, security, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Design real-time data processing solutions using Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and event-driven architectures.
- Lead migration assessments, architecture reviews, application modernization workshops, and technical discovery sessions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, analytics teams, and cloud architects to drive strategic architecture decisions.
- Design and implement enterprise data engineering frameworks and modernization roadmaps.
- Establish metadata management, lineage tracking, governance, and compliance standards.
- Guide engineering teams during implementation and ensure adherence to architecture principles and best practices.
- Drive performance optimization, workload management, and query tuning strategies across cloud data platforms.
- Support CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps automation, and platform engineering initiatives.
- Mentor technical teams and provide guidance on modern data architecture patterns and cloud adoption strategies.
Expertise You'll Bring:
- 12–15 years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, Cloud Data Platforms, and Enterprise Data Modernization.
- Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud data ecosystems.
- Strong experience leading large-scale migration and modernization programs.
- Expertise across Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse, and Medallion architecture patterns.
- Strong consulting and solution architecture capabilities with hands-on implementation experience.
- Strong expertise with Google Cloud Platform data services.
- Hands-on experience with BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Datastream, Cloud Composer (Airflow), BigLake, Cloud SQL, Dataplex.
- Ability to recommend appropriate GCP services based on performance, scalability, governance, and cost considerations.
- Experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available GCP-based data platforms.
- Extensive experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, ETL/ELT frameworks, and distributed data processing.
- Strong expertise in designing batch, streaming, and CDC-based ingestion frameworks.
- Hands-on experience building enterprise-scale data pipelines and data integration solutions.
- Strong understanding of data processing optimization and workload management.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL.
- Experience developing scalable data engineering frameworks and pipeline orchestration solutions.
- Strong expertise with Apache Airflow and workflow orchestration.
- Experience supporting enterprise analytics, AI/ML, and reporting platforms.
- Experience migrating workloads from On-Premise Data Centers, AWS, Azure, Hadoop Platforms, Oracle Databases, SQL Server, Legacy Enterprise Platforms.
- Ability to assess migration readiness and define modernization strategies.
- Experience conducting migration assessments, architecture reviews, and technical workshops.
- Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, lineage tracking, and data quality frameworks.
- Experience implementing enterprise security, compliance, and governance controls.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps practices.
