Job summary

Optum is seeking an experienced software leader for its fast-paced environment in India. The role requires driving project delivery using modern technologies, coordinating with senior leadership, architects, PMs, and global development teams to align on roadmaps and critical decisions.

You will lead multi-location programs, analyze requirements, and convert them into concrete technical tasks with accurate effort estimates while maintaining high-quality delivery and KPI tracking.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of development experience with React 18, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• 5+ years of Python FastAPI and Next.js 13 experience.
• 3+ years in LLM/AI application development.
• Proficient with cloud platforms Azure/AWS/GCP.
• Able to analyze existing codebase and implement improvements.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with Agile tools like Rally.
• Strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills.

• Accountable for Project Delivery and Leading in modern technologies
• Act as a liaison between senior leadership, Architects, PMs, and Development teams.
• Spearhead new initiatives and manage multiple blue-chip programs and multi-location teams.
• Lead teams (people and projects) across geographies and create high performing teams.
• Requirement gathering and understanding, Analyze and convert functional requirements into concrete technical tasks and able to provide reasonable effort estimates
• Lead, engage and be major contributor in solution design, roadmap planning and key critical decisions.
• Work proactively, independently and with global teams to address project requirements, and articulate issues/challenges with enough lead time to address project delivery risks
• Track, improvise and publish the key KPIs and metrices w.r.t project, people, MBOs and Initiatives.
• Providing expertise in technical analysis and solving technical issues during project delivery

Mandatory Skills

• 12+ years of development experience on React 18, JavaScript, TypeScript
• 5+ experience working on Python FastAPI, Next.js 13
• 3+ Years of experience LLM Application Development, AI Application Development
• Working knowledge of Azure/AWS /GCP
• Ability to understand the existing application codebase, perform impact analysis and update the code when required based on the business logic or for optimization.

• Exposure to following Agile methodology specifically using tools like Rally.
