Job summary

Mumba Technologies, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Lead Full Stack Engineer to build AI-enabled, cloud-native FinTech applications. The role combines backend focus (70%) with frontend (30%), requiring deep Python, React.js, AWS, and PostgreSQL expertise and ownership from design to deployment.

You will integrate LLMs and Generative AI into production, collaborate with Product, Design, Data teams, and deliver scalable, secure software in a fast-paced FinTech environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in Full Stack / Software Engineering.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python backend development.
• Strong experience with React.js and modern frontend development.
• Solid hands-on experience with AWS Cloud, including serverless architectures.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL including design and optimization.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs/Generative AI into production apps.
• Experience with OpenAI, Claude, Azure OpenAI or similar APIs.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, distributed systems, and microservices.

You'll own features end‑to‑end, from design and development through deployment, while integrating AI/GenAI capabilities into production applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services and APIs using Python.
• Develop responsive and production‑ready frontend applications using React.js.
• Own features end‑to‑end, from technical design and implementation to production deployment.
• Build cloud‑native and serverless applications using AWS.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases, including schemas, queries, indexing, and performance.
• Integrate LLMs and Generative AI capabilities into production applications.
• Build AI‑powered features including intelligent search, chat interfaces, document processing, and workflow automation.
• Integrate AI APIs such as OpenAI, Claude, Azure OpenAI, or similar platforms.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Engineering, Analytics, and Engineering teams.
• Build reusable components, automation tools, APIs, and internal applications.

Required Skills

• Experience with AI APIs such as OpenAI, Claude, Azure OpenAI, or similar platforms.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, distributed systems, scalable application design, and microservices.
• Experience building and deploying end‑to‑end products in production.
• Strong coding, debugging, problem‑solving, and engineering skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with RAG, vector databases, semantic search, LangChain/LlamaIndex, or MCP.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Terraform.
• Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
• Experience working with data platforms, ETL/data pipelines, or analytics systems.
• Experience in FinTech, SaaS, or high‑growth product environments.
• Strong experience using AI‑assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity.
