Job summary

Role: Lead Facilitator - Nagaland -East Hub

Job Location: Kohima, Nagaland

Job Responsibilities
Design
  • Ability to design contextualized training structure with new activities and workshops based on local emerging needs and context.
  • Improvise contents of the workshop in the moment and be aware of the plan / curriculum being only a guiding document
  • Converse, make sense and contextualize content of the workshop based on the group.
Facilitation
  • Keep the process connected to the program goals.
  • Hold space for the group and individuals to express themselves deeply.
  • Invite individual and group creativity.
  • Improvise and be spontaneous in front of a group.
  • Hold an attitude of welcome and inclusion.
  • Develop the culture of appreciation.
  • Managing Strong Emotions in a group (Manage Triggers)
  • Be able to track the journey of the group and individuals.
Training
  • Train other facilitators / stakeholders on the Principles / Practices / Processes of facilitation with a minimum of 10-day TOT workshop.
  • Provide one-on-one mentoring on principles of facilations.
Accountability
  • Accountable for ensuring high-quality implementation of the SEL Teacher s Handbook by strengthening the facilitation capacity of SRGs, identifying emerging learning needs, enabling continuous improvement, and supporting coherence across implementation partners.
  • Accountable for nurturing a facilitative culture of reflection, appreciation, feedback, and collaborative learning within the team and across stakeholders. Accountable for making thoughtful real-time facilitation and design decisions that respond to emerging group needs while remaining aligned to programme intent.
  • Accountable for independent designing, facilitating, and adapting sessions based on the context.
  • Delivering complex facilitation spaces in alignment with program goals.
  • Accountable for mentoring peers, managing emotions in groups, and building a culture of feedback, reflection, and appreciation.
  • Supports cross-team alignment and champions inclusion and care in all spaces held.
  • Accountability for quality, alignment, and transformation - ensuring that sessions stay connected to program goals and that spaces remain inclusive, adaptive, and deeply engaging
General Responsibilities
  • Contribute to East Hub and state strategy and cross-state learning
  • Collaborate with other internal teams
  • Uphold Dream a Dream s values of equity, dignity, and inclusion
  • Travel across different parts of the state as required
Qualifications
  • Be able to facilitate with young people and adults.
  • Be able to facilitate / train both in in-person and on-line modes.
  • Be able to recognize the needs of the program, people, and deliverables, and respond effectively keeping the core values of Dream a Dream in mind.
  • Ability to solve problems, make decisions independently and take initiative.
  • Focus and invest in developing the Being of a facilitator.
  • Designing, developing, and contextualizing the workshops and content, meeting the needs of the target audience.
  • Be able to hold space for the people, team, and target audience, where they feel heard, seen and respected for who they are.
  • Design and deliver by applying the Arc of Transformation in workshops / trainings.
  • Have creative practice of their own.
  • Basic technical skills such as basic computer skills, documentation etc.
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facilitation and training roles within education or nonprofit sectors, focusing on complex program management and strategic partnerships.
  • Earlier experience of working in Northeast or Nagaland with knowledge of local culture, landscape, and language (Nagamese) will be an advantage
Travel Requirement

This role requires flexibility to travel locally and nationally based on program needs.
