Job summary

Namely is looking for a Lead Enterprise Applications Engineer to provide technical leadership across its enterprise applications. You will own architecture, design, and lifecycle management while enhancing reliability and performance through strong engineering practices.

Compensation Range:

(CAD) 64,000 - (INR) 3,500,000 > 4,400,000

The Lead Enterprise Applications Engineer will provide technical leadership across our enterprise application estate, owning architecture, design, and lifecycle management while improving reliability, performance, and resilience through strong engineering practices. The role defines and upholds engineering standards and integration patterns, leads technical delivery for major enhancements and modernization initiatives, strengthens monitoring and incident response in partnership with Operations, Infrastructure, and Security teams, and drives reduction of technical debt to uplift engineering maturity. It also acts as a key technical partner to Product Owners and cross‑functional teams, communicating clearly and effectively, while mentoring engineers and building capability across the organization.

Requirements
  • Strong experience engineering, supporting, and modernizing large‑scale enterprise applications and integrations.
  • Solid understanding of application, data, and integration architecture, with the ability to design and govern complex solutions.
  • Proven leadership experience, including guiding engineering teams, setting technical direction, and developing talent.
  • Strong background in operational reliability, service stability, incident management, and continuous service improvement.
  • Hands‑on experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog and ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
  • Skilled in modern engineering practices such as CI/CD, automation, cloud technologies, API‑driven design, and infrastructure‑as‑code.
  • Ability to reduce technical debt, improve engineering maturity, and drive consistent standards across teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex technical topics in clear, business‑friendly language.
  • Comfortable leading through ambiguity, influencing stakeholders, and delivering measurable improvements in performance and reliability.
  • Experience working effectively with Product, Operations, Infrastructure, and Security teams in cross‑functional environments.
