Job summary

DISH Network Technologies, an EchoStar Company, seeks a Lead Engineer - Mediation to lead design and delivery of telecom mediation solutions in Bangalore. You will own integration design, oversee batch and real-time workflows, and drive complex projects with cross-functional teams.

Applicants should have 8+ years in telecom mediation, 3+ years with DigitalRoute, strong CDR analysis, and hands-on UNIX, SQL and scripting experience.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in telecom mediation with 3+ years on DigitalRoute Mediation Zone.
• Experience implementing batch and real-time workflows and core functions like aggregation and filtering.
• Proficient in APL, UNIX, Shell Scripting and Oracle SQL; Java exposure beneficial.
• Strong ability to perform CDR analysis and resolve technical issues.

Responsibilities

• Capture, refine and document requirements with stakeholders.
• Lead integration design for applications and solutions with partners.
• Install, upgrade and configure applications and related components.
• Create and execute test plans and cases; ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Own integration between revenue management platforms and network/BSS/OSS; lifecycle of charging, rating and billing.
• Provide estimation, design, configuration, unit testing; mentor engineers.
• Drive process and tool improvements; participate in end-to-end design and implementation.
• Collaborate with teams, support SIT, UAT and production releases.
• Lead complex technical projects from planning to execution; guide junior engineers.

Lead Engineer - Mediation

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Support in the capture, refinement and documentation of requirements.
• Play a lead role with partners and other stakeholders to: o Create and document the logical and physical integration design for our applications and solutions.
• Install, upgrade and configure applications and potentially other OS or third party software components required by these applications.
• Create, document and support execution of test plans and cases
• Take ownership of integration between the revenue management platform(s) and the network, BSS and OSS and/or for the complete life-cycle of charging, rating, and billing
• Be responsible for technical deliverables assigned to you from estimating, designing, configuring and unit testing these and ensuring these are of a high quality of standard
• Identify, communicate and drive improvement initiatives for the processes and tools relating to your role.
• Working with PO and coming up with a solution design and development for the requirements, support functional testing, SIT, UAT, and production releases
• Collaborate with the other team and provide inputs for the implementation of the e2e solution
• Drive complex technical projects from planning through execution
• Provide leadership and mentor engineers in innovative and fast-paced environments
• Perform configuration reviews, code reviews

Skills and Requirements:

• Experience of 8+ years in the telecom mediation domain with minimum of 3+ years’ development experience in DigitalRoute Mediation Zone product
• Should be well versed with the implementation of batch & real-time workflows and other critical functionalities like aggregation, correlation, filtering
• Experience in APL, UNIX, Shell Scripting and Oracle SQL. Exposure to java will be an advantage
• Must have good experience in performing CDR analysis
• Should possess deep knowledge of the E2E telecom flow and should be able to think logically towards the issue resolution
• Exposure to AWS, CI/CD will be an advantage
• Should have experience in resolving the technical issues reported for the environment.
• Candidate should have strong communication skills (written and verbal)
