Silicon Labs in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to develop low-level firmware for next-generation SoCs/ASICs. You will work across the product lifecycle, from pre-silicon enablement to post-silicon bring-up, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality embedded software.

The role requires 6–10+ years of embedded firmware experience, strong Embedded C and Python skills, and hands-on debugging with JTAG, GDB, and Lauterbach.

Qualifications

• 6–10+ years of embedded firmware/software development experience.
• Strong programming skills in Embedded C and Python.
• Experience with bootloaders, BSPs, device drivers, HAL, and RTOS (FreeRTOS/Zephyr).
• Knowledge of ARM/RISC-V architectures and interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, USB, and Ethernet.
• Strong debugging skills using JTAG, GDB, Lauterbach, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Experience with silicon/board bring-up and hardware-software integration.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Debug hardware/software issues using JTAG, GDB, Lauterbach, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Collaborate with hardware, validation, verification, and architecture teams.
• Participate in code reviews, design reviews, and technical documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to subsystem development.
• Utilize AI-powered tools to improve development productivity and documentation.
