Presidio is seeking a senior network engineer to design, implement, test, and support enterprise routing, switching, SDN, and network security solutions. You will participate in customer workshops to document requirements, develop designs, migration plans, and runbooks, and ensure robust, scalable networks across campus, data center, lab, branch, and cloud environments.

• 5-7 years of progressive experience in enterprise network and security.

• Experience designing and implementing networks in consulting or large enterprises.
• Experience with SDN or network virtualization technologies.
• Experience documenting diagrams, procedures, migration plans and as-built records.
• Knowledge coordinating activities with customers, project teams, vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.

The Role

• Design, configure, implement, test, and support enterprise routing, switching, software-defined networking, and network security solutions
• Participate in customer discovery sessions and technical workshops to document requirements, dependencies, constraints, and success criteria
• Develop and maintain technical designs, implementation procedures, migration plans, test plans, rollback procedures, and as-built documentation
• Build and support resilient networks across campus, data center, lab, branch, cloud-connected, and hybrid environments
• Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols, VLANs, network segmentation, redundancy, high availability, quality of service, and common network services
• Implement and support software-defined networking and network virtualization solutions under established architecture and design standards
• Configure and support network security controls, including firewalls, secure remote access, segmentation, access policies, and secure connectivity between environments
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, collect and analyze diagnostic information, identify root causes, and coordinate resolution with internal teams and vendors
• Plan and execute approved lifecycle activities, including software upgrades, firmware upgrades, hardware refreshes, configuration updates, and post-change validation
• Support Presidio lab network and security infrastructure used for engineering, demonstrations, proofs of concept, validation, training, and customer-facing activities
• Maintain lab configurations, diagrams, inventories, access records, standards, and operational documentation to promote repeatability and reduce configuration drift
• Serve as a technical point of contact for assigned projects and workstreams, providing clear status updates, technical recommendations, and escalation of risks or blockers
• Coordinate implementation activities with customers, project managers, vendors, facilities teams, remote hands, and other engineering disciplines
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through technical guidance, peer reviews, troubleshooting support, lab exercises, and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Review configurations and engineering deliverables for technical accuracy, security, consistency, and operational readiness
• Contribute to technical standards, runbooks, reference designs, automation practices, and reusable implementation methods

Technology/Area of Specialization:

• Strong knowledge of enterprise routing and switching, including dynamic routing protocols, Layer 2 and Layer 3 design, redundancy, segmentation, quality of service, and network services
• Working knowledge of software-defined networking, policy-based networking, network virtualization, automation, and centralized management platforms
• Practical knowledge of network security technologies, including firewalls, VPNs, secure access, segmentation, access control, policy enforcement, and security monitoring integrations
• Familiarity with network automation, APIs, configuration management, telemetry, monitoring, and operational analytics
• Understanding of infrastructure dependencies such as DNS, DHCP, IP address management, identity services, virtualization, cloud connectivity, and data center facilities
• Experience with Cisco ACI and NDFC is highly desired

• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze issues across network, security, virtualization, cloud, and application dependencies
• Ability to develop sound technical solutions within established architecture, security, operational, and project requirements
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to customers, project teams, and internal stakeholders
• Solid project execution skills, including task planning, effort estimation, dependency tracking, risk identification, and timely completion of assigned deliverables
• Ability to lead defined technical workstreams while collaborating with senior architects and engineering leadership on complex decisions
• Ability to facilitate technical discussions, implementation planning, peer reviews, and operational handoffs
• Collaborative mindset with a willingness to mentor less-experienced engineers and share practical knowledge
• Attention to detail and consistent documentation practices across designs, configurations, test results, implementation records, and support procedures

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Typically, 5-7 years of progressive experience implementing and supporting enterprise network and security infrastructure
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise routing and switching, including dynamic routing, segmentation, resiliency, and troubleshooting
• Experience contributing to the design and implementation of enterprise networks in customer‑facing, consulting, professional services, managed services, or large enterprise environments
• Working experience with software‑defined networking or network virtualization technologies
• Practical experience configuring or supporting enterprise network security platforms and secure connectivity solutions
• Experience creating technical documentation such as network diagrams, implementation procedures, migration plans, test plans, and as‑built records
• Experience coordinating technical activities with customers, project teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to provide technical guidance or mentoring to junior engineers
• Relevant professional‑level networking or security certifications are preferred
