Silicon Labs in Hyderabad seeks a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to design, implement, and test high‑quality embedded software powering Wi‑Fi ICs and connectivity solutions. You will collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, and testers to deliver production‑ready code, mentor juniors, and drive architectural and testing improvements in a fast‑paced, innovative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong coding skills in C/C++.
• Experience of Wi‑Fi or other networking protocol stacks.
• Experience with RTOS‑based environments.
• Experience with unit testing, debugging, and validation in embedded environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and continuous integration workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded software in C for Wi‑Fi ICs and connectivity solutions.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions, helping define scalable, maintainable, and high‑performance software solutions.
• Own the delivery of software features from design through implementation, testing, and production release.
• Write and maintain unit tests, functional tests, and automation to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Debug complex software, firmware, and system‑level issues using tools such as JTAG, GDB, and logic analyzers.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate software with hardware, protocol stacks, and system components.
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to engineers across the team.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their technical growth and development.
• Drive improvements in software architecture, development processes, testing, and engineering best practices.
• Contribute to performance optimization, reliability improvements, and root‑cause analysis of customer and field issues.

The Role

We are seeking passionate Lead Embedded Software Engineers to join our Wi‑Fi software team. In this role, you will design, implement, and test high‑quality embedded software that powers our Wi‑Fi ICs and connectivity solutions. You will work closely with architects, hardware engineers, and test teams to ensure robust, production‑ready software delivery.
