Job summary

Algoworks seeks an experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer to design and implement a cloud-native foundation on Azure for a greenfield, multi-tenant platform. You will own CI/CD, container orchestration, secrets management and observability to enable a secure, repeatable path from commit to production.

The role requires strong Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker skills, Helm chart authoring, and GitOps experience, with a focus on reliability and scalable delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in DevOps/platform engineering on Azure.
• Strong hands-on Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker experience.
• Helm chart authoring and GitOps (ArgoCD or Flux) experience.
• Experience with Azure Key Vault, secrets management and IaC.
• Familiarity with observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, App Insights).

Role overview

We are seeking a DevOps to build the cloud-native foundation for a greenfield, multi-tenant platform on Azure - Docker, AKS, Helm and ArgoCD with GitOps.

The candidate will own CI/CD on Azure DevOps, container orchestration, secrets and configuration management and observability, enabling a one-click, repeatable path from commit to production.

Key responsibilities:

1.CI/CD and GitOps

• Build and maintain Azure DevOps Pipelines for PR and nightly builds with quality gates.
• Implement GitOps delivery with Helm + ArgoCD using per-service and umbrella charts.
• Enable a containerized, one-click deployment workflow.

2.Platform and security

• Provision and operate AKS clusters and Docker-based workloads.
• Manage secrets with Azure Key Vault + the CSI driver - no secrets in images or source.
• Configure Azure API Management for versioned APIs and per-tenant configuration.

3.Observability and reliability

• Implement unified observability with OpenTelemetry and Application Insights.
• Define alerting, scaling and incident-response practices for production readiness (P5).

Required technical skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years in DevOps / platform engineering on Azure.
• Strong hands‑on Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker experience.
• Helm chart authoring and GitOps (ArgoCD or Flux) experience.
• Experience with Azure Key Vault, secrets management and IaC.
• Familiarity with observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, App Insights).

Must have skills:

• Strong AKS, Docker and Helm hands‑on experience.
• GitOps (ArgoCD) and Azure DevOps CI/CD proficiency.
• Secrets and configuration management on Azure.
• Production-grade observability and reliability practices.

Good to have skills:

• Experience with Azure API Management.
• Infrastructure-as-Code (Bicep / Terraform).
• Scripting in PowerShell / Bash.
• Hands‑on experience using AI tools in the Software Development Lifecycle; Claude and GitHub Copilot preferred.
