Job summary

Innominds Software in Hyderabad, India, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. This senior, hands-on role focuses on managing and evolving our Microsoft Azure cloud environment to serve product engineering teams.

You will collaborate with Cloud Architects, Security Engineers, and SREs to deliver a secure, scalable platform‑as‑a‑service, with emphasis on automation, IaC (Terraform), and modern CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable Azure infrastructure.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform (required), with optional experience in ARM templates or Bicep.
• Implement and manage container orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS) to support microservices-based architectures.
• Configure and maintain observability tooling (Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Cloud Architects and Security Engineers to ensure compliance with security and data protection standards.
• Work closely with product teams to design infrastructure meeting performance, scalability, and security requirements.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management for efficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices across the organization.
• Embrace AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity.

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Platform Engineering team. This is a senior, hands‑on role responsible for managing and evolving our Microsoft Azure cloud environment. You will work closely with the Chapter Lead, Cloud Architects, Security Engineers, and Site Reliability Engineers to deliver a robust, secure, and scalable platform‑as‑a‑service for our product engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins to automate testing, deployment, and monitoring.
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform (required), with optional experience in ARM templates or Bicep.
• Implement and manage container orchestration platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS) to support microservices‑based architectures.
• Configure and maintain observability tooling (e.g., Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) to ensure system performance, reliability, and visibility.
• Collaborate with Cloud Architects and Security Engineers to ensure compliance with security and data protection standards, including policy‑as‑code and governance controls.
• Work closely with product engineering teams to design and implement application infrastructure that meets performance, scalability, and security requirements.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Mentor junior engineers and champion DevOps and platform engineering best practices across the organisation.
• Embrace and promote the use of AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot) to enhance productivity, documentation quality, and collaboration.

Experience & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of relevant industry experience, including at least 4 years in a Senior DevOps Engineer role with significant Microsoft Azure experience.
• Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including networking (VNETs, Application Gateway), compute, identity, and monitoring.
• Strong proficiency with Terraform and infrastructure‑as‑code principles.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Hands‑on experience with containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
