Job summary

A leading automotive company is seeking an Engineering professional with 10-15 years of experience in BIW design and development. The role involves leading a team, conducting feasibility studies, and preparing technical documents. Candidates should have a BE in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering and proficiency in CATIA V5. Knowledge of Indian and European standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in automotive engineering.
• Proficiency in sheet metal design and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with BIW welding processes.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

1. Experienced in Leading a team of Engineers for Design and development of BIW
2. Experienced in creating Concepts and data inputs for Business case preparation.
3. Knowledge of Advance Materials and mfg. processes used in BIW and it's Cost implecation
4. Experienced in Feasibility study of Styling surfaces CAS0 to ClassA (checking of interface, joinery Homologation cheks, Surface quality , draft analysis etc.) & Communcating to Design tem
5. Master Section Development , 3D CAD modelling of Engineering surfaces and iterations, considering other vehicle parts packaging
6. Working with CFT (Manufacturing, CAE,VI, Interface Systems)
7. Incorporation of Changes suggested in DFM , CAE, DMU feedback, Service & Draw simulation etc. into engineering data.
8. Benchmarking study for competiton vehilces and systems for packaging, performance , assembly etc. at vehicle level and tear down level.
9. Prototype build design release, build support, Homologation testing support, Plant CME Concerns resolution.
10. Indian/Europian standard knowledge
11. Preparation of Technical Requirement Document, DVP For BIW.
