Job summary

Experion Technologies Pvt. Ltd. seeks a Lead Engineer to drive hands-on design, build, and execution of data conversion and migration pipelines for enterprise client engagements.

Reporting to the Data Conversion Architect, you will lead from SQL Server, ETL/ELT development, and cloud platform migrations across Azure and AWS, ensuring data quality, security, and accurate rollback capabilities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with SQL Server (T-SQL) and relational DB design.
• Experience in data migration and conversion projects.
• Strong data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation skills.
• Experience writing and optimizing SQL Server SPs and indexes for high-volume batch processing.
• Proficiency with ETL tools such as SSIS and Azure Data Factory; scripting in PowerShell/Python.
• Understanding of data quality, de-duplication, cleansing, and validation.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms (Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, AWS Redshift) and hybrid migrations.
• Awareness of data security and compliance during migration; rollback/dry-run capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines to convert data per Architect guidance.
• Implement data validation, quality checks, and cleansing processes.
• Work with cloud platforms (Azure SQL, Synapse, AWS Redshift) for migrations.
• Plan and execute rollback, dry-run, and phased cutover activities.

Job Role

Lead Engineer - Conversion/Migration to work under the direction of the Data Conversion Architect, driving the hands-on design, build, and execution of data conversion and migration pipelines for enterprise client engagements.

JD/Responsibilities

• Strong hands-on expertise in SQL Server (T-SQL) and relational database design, with solid experience in data migration and conversion projects.
• Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines to convert data between source and target systems, following the mapping and transformation logic defined by the Architect.
• Good working knowledge of data mapping, source-to-target transformation logic, and reconciliation techniques for large datasets.
• Hands-on experience writing and optimizing SQL Server stored procedures, indexes, and queries for high-volume batch processing.
• Proficiency with ETL tooling such as SSIS, Azure Data Factory, or equivalent, along with scripting (PowerShell/Python) for data validation and automation.
• Good understanding of data quality, de-duplication, cleansing, and validation techniques.
• Working knowledge of cloud data platforms (Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, or AWS RDS/Redshift) and hybrid on-prem-to-cloud migration patterns.
• Awareness of data security and compliance considerations during migration, including encryption at rest/in transit and access controls.
• Ability to execute rollback, dry-run, and phased/parallel-run cutover activities under the guidance of the Architect.
• Ability to maintain data lineage, mapping documentation, and audit trails for validation and sign-off purposes.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills, with experience resolving issues in large batch conversion jobs.
