Primary location is Chennai, with relocation consideration across Tamil Nadu. The role focuses on developing automotive cab, body and product systems from concept through design, validation and engineering release, coordinating CAE, testing, manufacturing and suppliers to ensure issue-free

Qualifications

• 16-18 years of relevant experience in Mechanisms.
• Strong hands-on experience with PLM, GD&T, DFMEA, and DVP&R.
• Proven ability to manage design releases for BIW and cab integration.
• Experience in automotive, commercial vehicles or adjacent product engineering.

Responsibilities

• Create concepts, layouts, 3D models, drawings and design releases.
• Complete DFMEA, DVP&R, tolerance and packaging reviews.
• Coordinate CAE, testing, manufacturing and supplier inputs.

Lead Engineer - CAB Mechanisms | Automotive R&D

Role overview

Develop automotive cab, body and product systems from concept through detailed design, validation and engineering release.

Candidate profile

Engineering professional with 16-18 years of relevant experience in Mechanisms. Strong practical evidence in Mechanisms, PLM, GD&T, DFMEA, DVP&R, design release, BIW. Experience in automotive, commercial vehicles, mobility or an adjacent product-engineering environment is preferred.
