Job summary

Happiest Minds Technologies is seeking a Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer with strong Azure/Data Fabric expertise. The role focuses on ADLS/ADF, Fabric, PySpark, and Power BI within a modern data platform. You will also work with legacy MSBI components like SSIS/SSAS/SSRS while driving migration to Fabric.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in data engineering, hands-on Fabric and BI experience, and strong SQL/ETL skills to deliver enterprise-grade dashboards and datasets.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
  • Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI in modern data platforms.
  • Strong SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT design capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using ADLS, ADF, Fabric, and Spark.
  • Build and optimize data processing solutions using Python (PySpark preferred).
  • Develop restartable, fault-tolerant pipelines with robust audit and logging frameworks.
  • Develop and manage source control and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations.
  • Design and manage Power BI datasets for enterprise reporting and dashboards.
  • Participate in modernization and migration of MSBI solutions to Microsoft Fabric architecture.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer / Analytics Engineer with strong experience in Azure Data Lake Services (ADLS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), Microsoft Fabric, Apache Spark, and Python. The ideal candidate will have current hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, along with a solid foundation in traditional Microsoft BI (MSBI) technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Lake (ADLS), Azure Data Factory (ADF), Microsoft Fabric, and Apache Spark
  • Build and optimize data processing solutions using Python (PySpark preferred)
  • Implement Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) for structured data processing
  • Develop restartable, fault-tolerant pipelines with robust audit and logging frameworks
  • Develop and manage source control and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps (ADO)
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data transformations
  • Design and manage shared and certified Power BI datasets for enterprise reporting
  • Design and deliver interactive and performant Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Implement data modeling techniques (star schema, snowflake schema)
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and security
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Troubleshoot performance issues
  • Support, maintain, and enhance legacy MSBI solutions using SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS
  • Design and develop ETL workflows using SSIS and manage data models in SSAS
  • Develop and maintain enterprise reports using SSRS
  • Participate in modernization and migration of MSBI solutions to Microsoft Fabric architecture

  • Experience developing ETL pipelines using SSIS, data models using SSAS, and reports using SSRS
  • Data warehousing concepts and Medallion architecture
Experience

8+ years of overall experience in data engineering / analytics engineering

Current hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and Power BI in a modern data platform

Prior experience with Microsoft BI (MSBI) stack including SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and SSRS

Preferred Skills
  • Exposure to Lakehouse architecture / Delta Lake
  • Knowledge of data governance and cataloging tools
  • Experience with real-time or streaming data processing
Soft Skills
