Job summary

PVH Bengaluru is seeking a Lead Engineer Automation Quality to design and implement robust automation frameworks and lead a team of QA automation engineers. You will mentor the group, align test automation with CI/CD, and collaborate with DevOps and stakeholders to achieve automation goals.

The role requires strong Java expertise, hands-on automation experience with Selenium and Karate, and a focus on scalable automation strategies. AWS/Docker/Kubernetes knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years testing experience with 4-5 years automation testing or equivalent automation training.
• Proven leadership experience in managing and mentoring test automation teams.
• Strong experience with Java programming language (Core concepts).
• Extensive experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Karate, JUnit, TestNG.
• API automation with Karate; UI automation with Selenium/JUnit/TestNG.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field preferred.
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) desired.
• AWS cloud and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of automated test strategies and frameworks.
• Direct a team of test automation engineers and guide automation strategies.
• Define and enforce best practices for test automation and quality assurance.
• Assess and select automation tools and integration into CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to set test automation goals and objectives.
• Monitor KPIs and ensure automated tests integrate into CI/CD with DevOps teams.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in automation practices (AI where applicable).
• Create and deliver training materials to upskill the team; provide trainings on tools and frameworks.
• Act as SME for quality automation and mentor team members; perform manual testing when needed.

The Lead Engineer Automation Quality is a subject matter expert responsible for leading the design and development of robust, scalable and highly complex automation frameworks. This role has ownership of leading design of automation initiatives for some of the most complex projects, mentoring and providing guidance and best practices to lower-level team members, and leading collaboration with other departments.

Essential Functions

• Lead and oversee the design, development, and implementation of automated test strategies and frameworks.
• Lead a team of test/quality automation engineers by providing direction with automation and build automation strategies.
• Define and enforce best practices for test automation and quality assurance.
• Lead assessment of automation tools.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define test automation goals and objectives.
• Ensure the integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline. Work with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into the continuous integration and delivery process.
• Monitor and report on test automation metrics and KPIs.
• Lead continuous improvement in test automation processes and tools standards.
• Lead innovation efforts such as AI.
• Design and develop training materials and train team members
• Document training materials and provide trainings on automation tools and frameworks.
• Serves as a subject matter expert for quality automation engineers and may provide guidance, direction and prioritization of work for the team.
• Required to do manual testing when needed

Qualifications

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred
• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner) desired.
• Preferred experience in AWS cloud environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) preferred.
