Job summary

AdaniConnex (Data Center) in India is seeking a Lead Electrical with 12-15 years of experience to drive end-to-end electrical project execution for hyperscale data center facilities in Dholera. You will oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and delivery of HT/LT systems, GIS/AIS substations, DG, UPS, PDU/RPP, and protection schemes.

You will coordinate with Civil, MEP, ELV, BMS, Security and ICT teams, while managing vendors and clients to ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Master's Degree in Project Management or Business Administration will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of electrical works for hyperscale & colocation data center projects.
• Manage installation of HT/LT systems, transformers, GIS/AIS substations, DG, UPS, PDU/RPP, busducts, switchgear, grounding & lightning protection.
• Review drawings, specs, method statements and installation procedures; coordinate multidisciplinary activities.
• Lead pre-commissioning, testing, and commissioning of critical electrical infrastructure; drive IST & reliability testing.
• Manage relationships with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs & vendors; support commercial scope variations and claims.

Purpose

The Lead - Electrical Project Execution will be responsible for end-to-end execution, installation, testing, commissioning, and delivery of all electrical systems for data center projects. The role will ensure safe, timely, cost-effective, and quality execution of electrical infrastructure while coordinating with internal teams, consultants, contractors, vendors, and clients to achieve project milestones.

Project Planning & Execution

• Lead execution of all electrical works for hyperscale and colocation data center projects.
• Manage installation of HT/LT systems, transformers, GIS/AIS substations, DG systems, UPS systems, PDU/RPP systems, busducts, switchgear, grounding, and lightning protection systems.
• Develop execution strategies aligned with project schedules and business objectives.
• Ensure project delivery within approved timelines, budget, and quality parameters.
• Monitor project progress and proactively mitigate execution risks.

Construction Management

• Lead and supervise site execution teams, contractors, subcontractors, and electrical vendors.
• Ensure availability of resources including manpower, materials, equipment, and tools.
• Review construction drawings, technical specifications, method statements, and installation procedures.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities with Civil, MEP, ELV, BMS, Security, and ICT teams.

Testing & Commissioning

• Lead pre-commissioning, testing, and commissioning activities of critical electrical infrastructure.
• Ensure successful execution of Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and reliability testing.
• Coordinate with commissioning consultants and client representatives for system acceptance.
• Drive closure of punch points and handover documentation.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

Manage relationships with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs, and vendors.

Participate in project progress reviews and leadership meetings.

Support commercial discussions related to scope variations and claims.

Resolve technical and execution challenges through stakeholder engagement.
