Job summary

LUMIQ is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to steer our DevOps team and manage day-to-day operations across projects involving Data & AI platforms. You will ensure efficient, scalable deployments, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver robust DevOps solutions.

The role emphasizes mentoring, best-practice implementation, and driving CI/CD excellence across multiple client engagements, with opportunities for growth and exposure to cutting-edge technologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Tech or equivalent.
• 6+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, platform or SRE roles.
• Experience leading and managing DevOps teams.
• Strong knowledge of Linux systems, networking and container runtimes.
• Hands-on with major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proficient in IaC (Terraform or equivalents).
• Experienced in CI/CD on cloud and scripting (bash, python).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at LUMIQ. In this critical role, you willlead our DevOps team, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring effective stakeholder management and executivereporting.You will lead our teams to follow and establish best practices, implementing the most efficient DevOps practices anddesigns across both internal and customer projects, where we build and deploy Data & AI platforms, our products andtheir use cases. You will be responsible for ensuring that all our DevOps engagements are completed on time whileproviding the right level of support and stakeholder engagement throughout the process.

Requirements

Required skills:

• Expert knowledge of Linux system & networking internals, and Container runtimes.
  
• Significant experience with one or more major cloud providers - AWS, GCP, Azure.
  
• Hands-on with IAC (Infra as Code) - Terraform or others.
  
• Solid understanding of running apps in container environments, dockerising applications and orchestration usingKubernetes, helm and service mesh deployments.
  
• Open-source tooling & configuration exposure with nginx, httpd, ansible or equivalent.
  
• Hands-on with development and deployment of CI/CD on cloud.
  
• Server-side scripting using bash, python or equivalent.
  
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, collaboration and documentation skills.
  
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  
• Team-oriented with strong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills.
  
• Ability to understand the end-to-end business requirements, proposing them a feasible solution & implementingthem in a better way to produce error free products for our clients.
  
• Mentoring & coaching fellow engineers.
  

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in the role of infrastructure, DevOps, platform or SRE engineering.
  
• Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle and infra engineering best practices.
  
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Technology or equivalent experience.
  
• Proven experience in leading and managing a team of DevOps engineers in previous roles.
