Job summary

Airbus India Private Limited is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to drive automation, ensure reliability, and support DevSecOps initiatives for the AIRINA Digital Archive platform. The role emphasizes collaboration across development, system, infrastructure, and security teams, with a focus on scalable, observable systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong DevSecOps experience, proficiency in CI/CD, cloud and container technologies, and solid scripting skills in Java, Python, Go,

Qualifications

• Hold a degree (or equivalent) in IT, engineering or a related discipline.
• Solid experience in software development process and system architectures.
• Good understanding of DevSecOps concepts and experience working with agile delivery and operation teams.
• Experience with automated configuration management technologies such as Ansible, Puppet or Chef.
• Familiarity with logging & event management tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, Zabbix, etc.
• Linux and Windows system administration know-how.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines as well as with methodologies, processes and tools, such as Jenkins, Maven, SonarQube, etc.
• Experience with hosting and operating Spring Boot applications and J2EE applications using RedHat EAP as Enterprise Application Server.
• Good knowledge of software development concepts and experience with shell scripting and programming languages like Java, Python, Go, Bash.
• Experience with cloud and container technologies is a plus, as well as know-how with Camunda and MarkLogic.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operational availability and reliability of the Digital Archive, optimise resource utilisation and help guarantee application performance and correct functioning.
• Lead and conduct troubleshooting sessions, perform problem root cause analysis, and define resolutions.
• Automate the traditional role of system administrators for the Digital Archive to simplify day-to-day operations.
• Build and maintain appropriate monitoring and self-healing solutions to increase system resilience.
• Provide guidance and support for business and technical teams to fully leverage the benefits of automation and “DevSecOps”.
• Coordinate collaboration and work share between development teams, system team and external teams like infrastructure operations and security.
• Maintain the system team backlog, plan iterations, define, prioritise and accept user stories, and participate in regular ceremonies conducted by the System Team.
• Support and prepare regular SAFe ceremonies like PI Planning, Inspect and Adapt and System Demos.
• Assemble and edit source code repositories to develop a software stack for the product needs, respecting the standards and structure of the given solution and the environment.
• Develop design specifications and parameters that are in compliance with products' architectural blueprints.
• Participate in all phases of product development lifecycle, from analysis to design, over test and integration to operation of products.
• Research, evaluate, and develop new tools to improve product development efficiency.
• Deploy, test and/or integrate highly available, scalable, maintainable, monitored systems and services.
• Assist in development of product user manuals.
• Coordinate the functional and technical integration.
• Define the test strategy, scripts, scenarios and monitor test execution.
• Determine how existing applications, legacy systems, databases, web interfaces and/or hardware logic, which may be currently operating on multiple platforms, work together to meet the new and emerging enterprise requirements.

Team's Core Mission/Purpose: AIRINA – Airbus Enterprise Information Archive – is our latest archiving solution, provided globally to all our business divisions within Airbus – Commercial Aircraft, Helicopter, Defence and Space. AIRINA will gradually replace the current legacy archives. More efficient new technology will enable unprecedented improvements in reliability, quality, and performance.
