Job summary

TransUnion is seeking a Sr Developer, Software Development to join our Bengaluru team. You will design, develop, and modernize enterprise fraud solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices in a hybrid work model.

You will collaborate with product, architecture, and engineering to define the modernization roadmap, build scalable cloud-native apps on AWS/GCP/Azure, and contribute to APIs, DevOps, and high-performance systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise Java development experience.
• Hands-on Spring Boot and Microservices expertise.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native design.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• RESTful API design and implementation.
• Experience with Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases and data-driven apps.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes preferred.
• Excellent leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Team Overview

Our team delivers application development and integration solutions that support TransUnion's products and customer implementations. We focus on building scalable, secure, and high-performing Java-based applications and integration workflows that enable efficient business operations and customer outcomes.
The team operates within the Global Technology and Global Integration Solutions organization under the leadership of Venkat Achanta.This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

Required Knowledge And Experiences

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.


• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and implementation.


• Experience with Kafka or other messaging/event-streaming platforms.


• Familiarity with NoSQL databases and data-driven application design.


• Experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, and automated deployment practices.


• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.


• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support experience.


• Excellent leadership, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
