Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Structural BIM Lead to join the GTC Canada BIM team, focusing on managing Revit/CAD structural environments and driving efficient workflows. You will create and maintain symbol libraries, templates, and databases, and mentor junior engineers while supporting proposal and project delivery tasks.

The role requires 7–12 years of experience in civil BIM, strong CAD/BIM standards knowledge, and the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams on international projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma/degree in civil engineering or equivalent with relevant BIM experience.
• 7–12 years delivering multidisciplinary projects in Revit/CAD environments.
• Strong knowledge of Navisworks and CDE platforms.
• Ability to standardise workflows and maintain BIM quality processes.
• Experience with coordination with engineers and multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Produce structural drawings and BIM models with minimal supervision.

Job Description Overview

We are seeking a Structural BIM Lead to join our GTC Canada BIM team, supporting the design and delivery of complex structural systems across various industrial projects. In this role, the candidate will manage and optimise Revit/CAD structural environments, ensuring efficient workflows, standardisation, and compliance with project and industry requirements. The candidate should have strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills and be able to maintain BIM model quality processes. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining symbol libraries, templates, and databases, configuring project settings, and troubleshooting software issues to enable seamless collaboration. Additionally, you will lead automation initiatives, integrate engineering design data with other platforms, and support digital delivery strategies for smarter, connected solutions. The candidate will also actively support project teams on proposal and project delivery tasks. Ideal candidates should have a Diploma/B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering, with 7–12 years’ experience delivering multidisciplinary projects, strong knowledge of Revit/CAD functionalities, Navisworks & CDE platforms, and a passion for improving design efficiency through technology and innovation.

Your role

About you

Qualification Diploma/Degree with minimum 5years of relevant experience.

Requirements Knowledge of multidisciplinary and multiregional project to comply with the relevant CAD/BIM Standard.

Minimum of 8 years of experience in Revit environment for senior role and at least 5 years of experience in Revit for intermediate role.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Ability to work using engineer’s calculations and design in producing drawings / 3D modelling.

Knowledge of Building design process working within a multiple discipline engineering environment and within a project and commercially focused business.

Identify, Interpret, and apply required industry/client/Internal CAD/BIM standards.

To ensure that our finished product is project, Client, and BIM complaint.

Work independently and take proactive initiative.

Self -motivated development.

Competent to check the work.

Able to present/represent their technical work.

Shows flexibility in work tasks and locations.

Responsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost.

Experience working on International Projects (North America ) French speaking is Good to have.
